It has been one very busy year here at Pulsed Media - with lots of great things happening in the background! Some highlights of the past year is that we more than doubled our electrical capacity, installed several new racks and increased our upstream transit capacity by 50%!
We also got many new great customers, albeit the huge influx of new users at the beginning of the year was quite busy and stressing time as helpdesk load multiplied quickly. There was staffing changes and new people to teach, lots and lots of new hardware configurations to test etc. We are now nearing the point where we can plan full racks ahead and just rack a full rack at a time. 10Gbps servers became mainstream during this year as well; And we are looking forward to expand the 10Gbps options during 2020.
We also introduced the ZEN MiniDedis to great success, these have turned out to be really stable high performance yet low power consumption machines. AMD Ryzen really delivers! There was quite a bit of engineering to get the packaging right tho, but we figured it out all in the end. We are looking forward to make this offer even better next year! These are fully customizeable and only built-to-order to Your specification. Page only shows some sample configurations. 2000GB NVMe Drive + 1Gbps unmetered bandwidth is quite an wild option for those who host a ton of small torrents or large databases, as an example.
Managed Dediseedboxes were re-introduced as well with quite a bit of interest. There are now several models being offered. These are great for those who want dedicated resources with shared seedbox ease of use, as well as power users. You can turn these to be full dedicated servers with the service level options Power / Power+ for a small fee. MDS features instant provisioning and you will be able to use it within minutes from signup.

Christmas Donations & Support for important projects!
It has become a tradition here at Pulsed Media that we choose a few projects or organizations to support during the Holidays. This year the selections were (in no particular order):
rTorrent is in core of our software package, and as of late rTorrent developer has been looking to get more time to dedicate towards rTorrent development.
Eden Reforestation Project is quite an excellent organization looking to get trees planted in many places of the world, with the help of locals. Not only does this help to carbon offset the vast amounts of energy we utilize for operating our datacenter via having trees planted, but it also provides some stimulus to the local economies where they operate as locals are being hired for the work etc. That is quite an excellent double benefit. For the amount of trees planted they are also "cost effective" so to speak, reaching cost per tree planted of well below 1$ per tree.
Electronic Frontier Finland foundation works to prevent online censorship, tracking and monitoring of people. EFFI is our local organization, but check out the global EFF at https://www.eff.org/ - they do excellent work. Usually we have donated to EFF, and smaller contribution to EFFI but this year we decided to just support EFFI.
